Frequently Asked
Questions

What is the process?

Step 1
Set up a free consultation to look through our portfolio and discuss your needs. Please feel free to bring any pictures, ideas, designs, etc. that may serve as an inspiration for your stationery.

Step 2
You may then choose to order a mock up invitation based off of what we have discussed. There is a 60.00 sample fee, 30.00 of which will be credited back if you decide to place the order.

Step 3
We will work together to ensure that your proof looks exactly as you want it so that you are able to sign off on it and we can get started with your order. When you place your order, there is a 50% deposit due. The other 50% will be due upon completion of your order.

Step 4
If you have decided to have an Invite Yourself Party, we will set a date and location. We will also be ordering, printing and preparing your invitation for you during this time in order to meet a due date that we agree upon.

Step 5
Send out your invitations and get ready to receive phone calls and emails and lots of rsvp cards!

What kind of a timeline do you need for my order?

For Save the Date cards, you will want to order those 6-12 months before your wedding date depending on how early you would like to send them out. Typically people mail Save the Date cards out about 6 months prior to their wedding date unless the wedding is a destination wedding or over a holiday weekend in which case you will want to let people know as soon as possible.

For Invitations, you will want to meet with me at least 4 months before your event day if possible. (Earlier is fine too!) The design process can take between 1 week to 1 month depending on how quickly you are able to provide me with information such as locations, times, etc. Typically once you have signed off on your final proof you will have your invitations within 4 weeks unless we have discussed a different time frame up front. Wedding and special event invitations typically get mailed out 6-8 weeks prior to the event.

For Programs and other Stationery, we will want to start designing these pieces between 4-8 weeks prior to your event date. I will need the final text at least 3 weeks prior to the due date in order to provide you with all of your stationery 1 week before your event.

What exactly is an Invite Yourself Party?

A couple of years ago I had a friend decide to assemble her own invitations to save money and she used glue sticks. When I received the invitation in the mail and took it out of the envelope it fell apart. I decided that as part of my little growing business, I would like to provide Brides with a unique service that would ensure this does not happen to them!

Invite Yourself Parties is a concept that I came up with where I will meet with you to come up with a design, print and cut all of the elements to your invitation for you and then bring them to you. You will get together your Bridesmaids, Mom, Friends, etc., and I will teach you all how to assemble them correctly and allow you the use of my professional equipment for up to two hours.  When you choose this option, you get the fun and gratification of assembling your own invitations as well as a 10% discount off your entire order!
